Things to Do
Walk to the secret waterfall (tide permitting)
A short but treacherous coastal walk leads to Largy Waterfall, tucked inside a sea cave. This is ONLY accessible at low tide and requires scrambling over extremely slippery rocks. Check tide times carefully before attempting — people have broken bones here. Start the walk a couple of hours before low tide to allow time to return safely.
Spot dolphins and wild geese
Dolphins are frequently seen playing in the bay below the viewpoint. From November to February, flocks of wild geese fly in from Iceland to winter in the fields beneath you.
Watch the sunset (October–February)
Sunsets from Largy are at their most spectacular between October and February, when the low sun paints the sky in vivid oranges and pinks over the Atlantic.
Grab a coffee with a view
Two mobile coffee spots serve the viewpoint: The Pod parks right at the car park, and Cookey's Coffee is near the field entrance to the waterfall trail. Both are great for a warm drink while you soak in the scenery — and the owners can often advise on tide conditions.

- Hours: Always accessible — this is an open roadside viewpoint with no gates or barriers.
- Admission: Free — no admission charge
- Parking: A small, free designated parking area at the viewpoint. Spaces fill quickly — never park along the road outside the designated area.
- Food: The Pod serves coffee, hot chocolate, teas, and treats at the viewpoint car park. Cookey's Coffee (near the field gate) offers coffee and iced drinks in summer. No permanent café or restaurant on site.
