Family-run boat trips from Teelin pier since 1995, taking you beneath Sliabh Liag — at 600 m (1,972 ft) the highest accessible sea cliffs in Europe, a scale you can only grasp from the water.
Boats leave Teelin pier into Teelin Bay and cruise right under the cliffs, passing features you cannot see from land. Trips last about 1 hr 30–45 min and skippers share local history, culture and wildlife knowledge along the way.
Season brings bottlenose and common dolphins, minke, humpback and fin whales (sometimes orca), tuna, basking sharks and seals. Mammal-watching trips are normally booked as private tours.
On selected trips you can dive into the clear, cold water below the cliffs. Limited towels and wet suits are available on board, so bring your own if you can.
The 18:00 slot runs as a fishing charter (€35 per person) with rods and tackle included; expect mackerel, pollock and wrasse. Minimum 4, maximum 10 people per booking.
