About
A 13-acre municipal park on the edge of Gorey town, rebuilt in 2021 around a café, playground, splash fountain and one of Ireland's first municipal skate parks. Free, fully accessible, and open to dogs.

Outdoor games and fitness
A free outdoor fitness zone with cardio and strength machines, plus outdoor table tennis, boules and skittles courts, built as part of the €1.8M redesign.
Walking loop and the weekly parkrun
Tarmac paths run a full loop past the soccer pitch and walking track. Gorey parkrun is a free, timed 5k every Saturday at 9:30am — three and a half laps, starting at the Fort Road car park.
Amphitheatre and family events
A small amphitheatre near the playground hosts children's entertainers on family play days and gives the park its community events focal point.
Sensory garden and pocket forest
Looped walkways link the Sensory Garden built by Gorey Tidy Towns, the Garden of Remembrance, a wildflower and biodiversity garden, and a Miyawaki pocket forest of 1,000 native Irish trees planted in February 2023.
Skate park and dog park
The original park's skate park — among Ireland's first municipal ones — remains, and a dog park with agility training elements gives dogs space to explore. Dogs are allowed in the park.
The pavilion café
The old changing rooms were refurbished and extended into a fully accessible café with indoor and outdoor seating. Parkrunners decamp afterwards for coffee at The Coffee Pod.

- Food: A café with indoor and outdoor seating in the restored pavilion; The Coffee Pod is the parkrun crowd's post-run coffee stop, and Gorey town centre is a 500m walk.
