A fast, family-run RIB ride from Dingle Pier out past sea caves and cliffs to the Great Blasket Islands, where grey seals, puffins and dolphins share the water.
The flagship 2.5–3 hour RIB trip leaves Dingle Pier and runs the coastline of Dingle Bay, past cliffs and caves, out to the Great Blasket Islands. Boats carry a maximum of 12, so it stays personal, and the captain has fished these waters for decades.
The route takes in West Kerry's sea caves and the Dingle Peninsula locations used as Luke Skywalker's hideaway planet in Star Wars, alongside the Slea Head coastline.
Grey seals gather at the Blaskets in one of Ireland's largest colonies, and dolphins are seen year-round. Puffins arrive March to July, minke and humpback whales are most likely June to October, and basking sharks cruise the surface in early summer.
If you would rather stay sheltered, the enclosed RIB does the same route with a maximum of 10 guests at the same €80 per person. Individual tickets are sold on this scheduled departure.
Charter the whole RIB for €850 and tailor the route to a particular stretch of the bay — a popular option for groups and parties.
The Flannery family has run the business since 2018; founder Jimmy Flannery spent 37 years taking visitors out to see Fungie, Dingle's famous dolphin. The booking office sits in the Tourist Offices Centre on Strand Street.
