A hands-on falconry centre on the Dingle Peninsula where you hold, fly and photograph hawks, falcons, owls and a golden eagle, guided by a master falconer with over 30 years' experience.
A one-hour, small-group introduction running mid-March to mid-October, capped at 25 people. You meet and fly at least two birds, including falcons, owls and hawks, with plenty of photo chances. Book ahead in summer; walk-ins only if space allows.
An hour exclusively for your party, with private use of the falconry garden and personal guidance from your falconer. Available all year by advance booking, and the only format where you may meet Orla the Golden Eagle, subject to season.
A gentle private hour for up to five people walking a wetland lake route beside a free-flying Harris Hawk that soars, perches and returns to your glove. Advance booking required and weather-dependent.
More than 20 resident raptors, each introduced by name and personality: Harris hawks, barn owls, snowy and eagle owls, saker and peregrine falcons plus Orla the golden eagle. Entry to view the other birds is included with experiences.
Every session includes an educational element covering raptor behaviour, conservation and falconry heritage, recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. The centre also rescues and rehabilitates injured or orphaned birds of prey.
