Ireland's most celebrated coastal spectacle — 214-metre cliffs towering over the Atlantic, with safe paved paths, a cave-like visitor centre built into the hillside, and views stretching to the Aran Islands on a clear day.
800 metres of safe, paved, fully accessible paths with raised viewing platforms. Head north past O'Brien's Tower (~1 km) for Atlantic panoramas, or south to the Southern Viewing Platform for views stretching towards Hag's Head. Total walking: up to 3.5 km round trip.
Built in 1835 by local MP Sir Cornelius O'Brien as a viewing point for Victorian tourists. Climb to the rooftop and, on a clear day, spot five counties: Clare, Limerick, Kerry, Galway, and Mayo. Also home to 'O'Brien's Barrels' — nine 50-litre whiskey casks maturing in collaboration with JJ Corry.

Ireland's first 4D cinema: a 3-minute immersive flight following a gannet over the cliff edge, plunging underwater past sea stacks, and soaring back up — complete with wind, mist, and a rousing soundtrack by local musician Davy Spillane.
Over 30,000 pairs of seabirds nest here in season — puffins (best May–June, on Goat Island), guillemots, razorbills, fulmars, kittiwakes, peregrine falcons, and choughs. The cliffs are a designated EU Special Protection Area. Grab free binoculars from the visitor centre desk.
The full coastal walk linking Liscannor to Doolin is partially closed. The southern section (Liscannor/Hag's Head) is fully closed due to safety concerns. The northern Doolin section is open as far as Surfer's Path only — no through-access to the visitor centre from Doolin. Check current status before setting out.
