A family-run, 13-acre lakefront adventure centre on Scariff Bay, where kayaks, climbing walls and an obstacle course meet the calm channels that open onto Lough Derg.
Paddle stable sit-on-top single or double kayaks along the winding channels towards Reddan's Quay (Tuamgraney) or out onto Lough Derg, where White-tailed Eagles nest nearby. Wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid are included, and shorter non-instructor-led Pay & Play taster sessions run on evenings and weekends with safety boat cover.
Double Canadian canoes and paddleboards (SUP) open up the same sheltered water, and you can also take out a self-drive lake boat with life jackets, fuel and fishing equipment supplied. Bring a picnic basket; boat hire has its own booking line, 085 1577482.
The Fittest Family-style course runs monkey bars, balance beams, climbing towers and a ropes course around a running track. It is built to push athletes out of their comfort zone and works as a fun challenge for families or a competitive test for sports teams; ziplining is also on offer.
Land-based sessions include a climbing wall and archery, usually bundled with water activities into a half-day or full-day package. Instructors guide all levels, including first-timers.
Packages are tailored for families, schools, sports and corporate teams, hen and stag parties, and ability groups. Family days include a lunch in the afternoon, and a local caterer can put on a barbecue with pig or venison on a spit, with a mini bar in the Barge or Celtic Hut.
Groups can stay over in a bunk house (two dorms, up to 24), a self-catering chalet with kitchen, or camping and a hammock hut. Evenings centre on the fire pit and barbecue, sleeping up to about 30 people in total.
