About

A modern, all-inclusive city playground at Murphy's Farm in Bishopstown Park — with separate toddler and juvenile zones, a big sand area, and a buggy-friendly fairy trail on the doorstep.

Things to Do

Inclusive play equipment

The €600k playground has modular climbing units, tower slides, balancing bars, earth mounds, sand areas and see-saws, designed to be all-inclusive for children of mixed abilities. The whole area is gated, monitored by CCTV and inspected daily by council staff.

Toddler and juvenile zones

Separate toddler and juvenile areas mean little ones have their own safe space while older kids tackle the climbing structures. The sandpit, swings and climbing kit are well maintained, and there are benches for parents inside the fenced area.

Murphy's Farm fairy-trail walk

From the playground, buggy-friendly tarmac paths loop through the parkland along the river, where kids can hunt for fairy doors. It's a gentle, nature-filled walk that stretches the visit out into a full afternoon out.

Pitch and putt and playing pitches

Bishopstown Park also holds playing pitches, an informal recreation space and the Bishopstown Pitch & Putt course, so older children and adults have plenty to do alongside the playground.
