Twenty themed gardens spread across 2.5 acres, linked by the Celtic Walk with its yew borders and granite paving. Part-way along you can walk beneath an A-frame roof garden bought at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Twenty small, interconnecting gardens tucked behind a Carlow business park, designed so every visitor can touch, smell and taste their way around 2.5 acres of water features, sculptures and blooms.
Things to Do
Five Senses Garden and the Kugal
A wooden bridge over ear-shaped goldfish ponds opens onto surfaces of timber, steel, stone, marble and glass. The star is the Kugal, one tonne of pink marble floating on a cushion of water.
Waterfalls and fishpond
A series of waterfalls by designer Gordon Ledbetter tumbles into a large fishpond of water lilies. A wooden viewing platform is accessible to all, and you can walk under the cascade.
Stolen Child Garden
Chelsea gold medallist Mary Reynolds designed this deliberately wild Irish landscape, inspired by the Yeats poem. Look for the grass sculpture and Martin Monks's tree sculptures.
Café Thyme
A spacious 50-plus seater café serving breakfast Monday to Friday and an ever-changing lunch menu seven days, with fresh scones, breads and coffee. Fully wheelchair accessible.
Games Garden
A giant paved chess board plus limestone tables for draughts and giant Jenga, framed by rambling roses and wisteria. Picnic benches on the lawns make this the family stop.
Group tours and audio tour
Group tours split larger parties into smaller numbers with an experienced guide, and café lunches must be booked. A self-guided audio tour app is free on Google Play and the App Store.
Wedding photography
The arches, waterfalls and sculptures are a favourite backdrop for wedding photos; photographers can preview the gardens by appointment.
