Things to Do
The Windgap Trail (Orange Loop)
A moderate 960-metre loop climbing steeply to the top of Windgap Rocks. Uneven ground and rewarding panoramic views across the Wexford plains to the Irish Sea. About 20 minutes; descends toward the 1798 Battle of Three Rocks site.
Lakeside Picnic & Views
Picnic benches are set near the water's edge with a coffee truck serving snacks. The deep turquoise lake, framed by towering quartzite cliffs in pink and orange hues, makes for a striking backdrop.
Birdwatching & Wildlife

History & the 1798 Rebellion
Windgap Rocks above the quarry served as a rebel lookout post during the 1798 Rebellion. An interactive audio waymarker post at the lakeside lets you scan a QR code with your phone to hear the site's history.
