About

A romantic 19th-century Gothic Revival castle set on a 120-acre estate with ornamental lakes, walled gardens, and Ireland's longest servants' tunnel — all just 10 minutes from Wexford town.

Things to Do

Guided Castle Tour

Join a 60-minute guided tour through sumptuously restored rooms with crystal chandeliers and wood panelling. The highlight is the 86-metre servants' subterranean tunnel — the longest in Ireland — offering a rare glimpse of 'below stairs' life. Tours run daily; pre-booking is strongly recommended.

Irish Agricultural Museum

Housed in the estate's historic stable courtyard, this award-winning museum spans 19 exhibition spaces across three floors. See restored tractors, threshing machines, country kitchens, a blacksmith's forge, and a moving Famine exhibition. The 'Little Red Tractor' trail keeps children engaged.

Lake & Garden Walks

Over 4 km of scenic pathways wind past three ornamental lakes, folly towers, seven statues, and a waterfall. The 1.5 km Lower Lake walk is fully wheelchair-accessible. Look out for the resident peacocks that roam freely around the grounds.

Victorian Walled Garden

This 4-acre restored walled garden features glasshouses, hothouses, and vibrant seasonal planting — all maintained using peat-free compost. Plants grown here are sold at the Visitor Centre, so you can take a piece of the gardens home.
