Ziplines thread the blue and red circuits, carrying you across forest clearings high in the canopy. Sessions are approved as continuous belay, so once you are clipped in you stay clipped in until you reach the ground.

About
A treetop adventure park in 45 hectares of lakeside forest at Farran Woods, 20 minutes from Cork City. Five colour-coded circuits climb from one metre to 15 metres above the forest floor, with ziplines crossing the clearings.
Things to Do
Work through the colour-coded circuits
Green starts a metre off the ground; orange and white climb to 4 and 10 metres; blue and red reach 15 metres. Ages are restricted by circuit (7+ for green/yellow, 9+ for orange/white, 12+ for blue, 15+ for red), and 7-8 year olds are limited to the low green and yellow routes.
Meet the deer and ducks of Farran Woods
Farran Forest Park holds a wildlife enclosure with a small herd of red and fallow deer, viewable from the waymarked Enclosure Trail, plus a large duck pond. A converted shooting lodge beside the enclosure is now a woodland ecology display centre.
Playground and picnic benches
A redeveloped children's playground sits a stone's throw from the Zipit cabin, and there are picnic benches on site and walking trails through the surrounding forest. Bring your own food and make a full day of it.
Birthday parties and group bookings
Farran Woods is the only Zipit location in Munster and takes birthday parties, school tours from across the province, corporate team days, and hen and stag groups. Group discounts apply for parties of 15 or more.
Plan Your Visit
- Hours: Hours vary with season and weather. The park opens every weekend from February to November, with midweek opening usually covering school and public holidays; in July and August it opens 9am to 6pm. Check the booking page for your date, and arrive 15-30 minutes before your slot.
- Admission: Adults from €40, under-18s from €32, children aged 7-8 from €23 online; family pass from €29 per person (minimum 3 guests). Spectators enter free.
- Parking: Ample on-site parking, charged at €5 on exit, contactless card only (no cash). A Coillte Access Card (about €50 a year) covers barrier-controlled Coillte forest parks.
- Food: The cabin shop sells hot and cold drinks, crisps and chocolate bars. You are welcome to bring your own food and use the picnic benches. Nearby: Wunderkaffee, Mai Fitz's Bar & Restaurant, Killumney Inn and Cooneys Garage takeaway in Coachford.
