About

Ireland's only Munster treetop adventure park: five colour-coded high-ropes circuits and ziplines through mature lakeside forest just 20 minutes from Cork City.

Things to Do

High Ropes Circuits

Five colour-coded circuits climb from 1 metre to 15 metres above the forest floor. Green starts low for ages 7–8; Orange and White build confidence up to 10 metres; Blue and Red are the full challenge, with Red reaching 15–20 metres and demanding serious upper-body strength. You get up to 3 hours (including a 30–45 minute safety briefing) to complete as many circuits as you can.

Ziplines

Over 800 metres of ziplines cut through the clearings at Farran Wood, carrying you from platform to platform above the forest floor. The longer, faster zips are on the higher Blue and Red circuits.

Ziplines

Green Circuit – Junior Adventure

Starting at just 1–2 metres off the ground, this circuit is designed for children aged 7–8. Kids can repeat it under adult supervision — perfect for building confidence before tackling higher circuits.

Red Circuit – The Ultimate Challenge

For ages 15+ only. Platforms at 15–20 metres, base jumps, and the toughest obstacles in the park. You'll need to complete at least one lower circuit first to prove you're ready.

Deer Enclosure & Wildlife

Farran Forest Park has a wildlife enclosure with red and fallow deer, plus a large duck pond home to mallard, teal, widgeon, and several goose species. The way-marked Enclosure Trail (1.1 km, easy) skirts the boundary for great viewing — spot fawns in spring and antler displays during the autumn rut.

Woodland Walks

Two way-marked trails in the 45-hectare forest park: the easy 1.1 km Enclosure Trail and the moderate 3 km Woodland Loop, which returns alongside Inniscarra Lake with views of the water and the National Rowing Centre.
