About

Walk with your own alpaca along the Knockamany Bens at Ireland's most northerly point, with panoramic views over Five Finger Strand and the Atlantic — a genuinely unique way to experience Malin Head.

Things to Do

Alpaca Walking Tour

The signature experience: you're paired one-to-one with an alpaca for a guided 45-minute trek across private trails, followed by 15 minutes for photos and feeding. Spectacular coastal views throughout. €20 per person, approx 60 minutes total.

Family Alpaca Walk

Designed for families with younger children — two alpacas shared between the group (2 adults + 2 kids). A relaxed, child-friendly way to explore the hills together. €45 per family, approx 60 minutes.

Meet the Herd

Over 37 alpacas call Wild Alpaca Way home. Each has a distinct personality — from the pack leader Macca to the more reserved characters. Guides share insights into herd dynamics and alpaca behaviour as you walk.

Meet the Herd

Alpaca Wool Shop

A small on-site shop sells products made from the herd's own alpaca wool: hats (€45), 100g yarn balls (€18), and wool cones (€200). Ideal for a unique souvenir.

Take in the Scenery

Even without an alpaca, the views alone are worth the trip. The trail overlooks Five Finger Strand, Glashedy Rock, the Isle of Doagh, and the vast Atlantic — some of the most dramatic coastline in Donegal.
