The world's first Viking virtual reality experience, staged inside a hand-built replica longhouse in the ruins of a 13th-century Franciscan friary in Waterford's Viking Triangle.
A costumed Viking re-enactor guides you before you don an Oculus Rift headset and travel back 1,100 years to 917, when Reginald founded Waterford. Sessions last about 40 minutes in small groups; suitable for ages 8 and over, and booking is highly recommended.
The experience unfolds inside an authentic handcrafted Viking longhouse built amid the atmospheric ruins of the 13th-century Franciscan friary at Baileys New Street, Waterford's oldest quarter.
