About

A working farm on Valentia Island where the ice cream is churned on site from milk of the Daly herd grazing in the fields below. The parlour sits in the original milking parlour, with views over the Portmagee channel.

Things to Do

Taste the farmhouse ice cream

Cones and tubs are made on site from non-homogenised milk of the grass-fed Holstein-Friesian herd, with no artificial flavourings. Flavours are developed with a consultant technician and churned regularly.

A 45-minute horse-carriage tour takes in Knightstown's landmarks and scenery, departing from the parlour or the town clock on the seafront. €8 per person, €30 minimum per tour, max 7 adults; phone booking essential.

Let the kids play

A free indoor play area for toddlers to tweens sits beside the parlour, handy when the Irish weather turns.
