Join a resident ecologist for a 30-minute walk through the wetlands nature reserve. Learn about the coastal reedbeds, marsh habitats, and wildlife that make this Special Area of Conservation so important. Adult €5, child €3.

Explore at your own pace with spotter sheets from reception. The self-guided route takes in bird hides, the nature boardwalk, and the 20-metre viewing tower with panoramic views over Tralee Bay and the Slieve Mish mountains. Adult €4, child FREE.

Pedalo Boats & Activity Lake

Take a 30-minute pedalo boat trip (up to 4 people) across the large shallow lake. A relaxed way to enjoy the surroundings and spot waterbirds from the water. €20 per boat.

Outdoor Climbing Wall

A state-of-the-art outdoor climbing wall suitable for ages 7 and up. Harness included. Sessions last 45 minutes. €19 per person.

Lakeside Café

Open daily 9am–5pm. Serves Warbler & Wren coffee, homemade desserts, scones, sausage rolls, sandwiches, wraps, and lunchtime options. Outdoor decking overlooks the activity lake.

A dedicated outdoor playground for younger children sits beside the visitor centre. There is also a free outdoor exercise area and a scenic activity-lake walkway — all open to the public.

  • Hours: Open daily from 9am. April–August: 9am–5pm (last admission 4:30pm). September–March: 9am–5pm (last admission 4:30pm). Last admission for tours and activities is 4pm. Car park closes at 5pm sharp. Lakeside Café: daily 9am–5pm.
  • Admission: Self-guided: Adult €4, Child FREE. Guided Nature Tour: Adult €5, Child €3. Activities priced separately.
  • Parking: Free car and coach parking on-site. Car park opens 9am, closes 5pm sharp.
  • Food: Lakeside Café serves tea, coffee, scones, sausage rolls, croissants, sandwiches, wraps, lunchtime options, and homemade desserts daily 9am–5pm. Picnicking permitted at benches on the front green.
