About

A family-run wildlife park in the Curraghchase countryside, about 20 minutes from Limerick city, where you can meet lemurs, meerkats and wallabies, burn off energy in an indoor go-kart play area, and walk wooded nature trails whatever the weather.

Things to Do

Bat conservation project

The park runs an ongoing Lesser Horseshoe Bat conservation project; the colony in the preserved cottage grew from 20 bats in 2006 to 81 by 2012, with annual expert inspections.

Meet the animals

The park holds a wide variety of wild and domestic animals including llamas, alpacas, ostriches, emus, rheas, wallabies, meerkats, ring-tailed lemurs, parrots and birds of prey, all kept in a clean, secure setting.

Indoor small pets area

For wet days there is an indoor small pets area where you can meet chipmunks, chinchillas, parrots and Speedy the leopard tortoise.

Nature trail walks

Trails wind along the wooded edge of the park where you may spot a red squirrel, wild flowers and native trees, with wheelchair-friendly routes available.

Indoor play area

Included in the admission price is a purpose-built indoor play area with go-karts, tractors, a bouncy castle and picnic tables - the play area is for children under 10.

Tea rooms and picnics

The traditional tea rooms serve teas, coffees, lattes, 12-inch pizzas and confectionery, and you are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy in the indoor or outdoor picnic areas.
