The crown jewels of the gardens are the Turner Curvilinear Range (1843–1869) and the Great Palm House (1883), both Europa Nostra award-winners. Don't miss the Orchid House, Alpine House, Cactus & Succulent House, and the Victorian Waterlily House. All are free to enter and open daily.

A full-scale, archaeologically accurate recreation of a 9th/10th-century Dublin Viking home, built in 2014 using traditional methods. Thatch-roofed and surrounded by the crop plants Vikings would have grown, it's accessible on guided tours and by school appointment.
Explore the Rose Garden, the late-1880s Rockery with its waterfall, the colourful herbaceous borders, the Sensory Garden (designed for touch, sound and scent), the arboretum, and the pond area. Over 300 endangered species are conserved here — six already extinct in the wild.
The Garden Restaurant serves hot lunches, specialty coffees, cakes and snacks with panoramic garden views (9am–3:30pm weekdays, 10am–4pm weekends). A smaller Courtyard Cafe in the Visitor Centre offers additional seating. Browse the bookshop before or after your meal.
A direct walkway links the Botanic Gardens to Glasnevin Cemetery — Ireland's national necropolis. See the graves of Michael Collins, Éamon de Valera and Brendan Behan, and climb the O'Connell Tower for city views. A natural pairing for a half-day outing.
