Twenty-two acres of relaxed, naturalistic planting strung along the River Vartry, named by Monty Don as one of his favourite gardens in the world. Paths and lawns are deliberately informal, so the walk feels like a ramble rather than a circuit.
Entry includes a tree trail map so you can explore at your own pace, and an audio guide is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Guided group tours can be arranged in advance.
A table-service café with a seasonal breakfast, brunch and lunch menu, served inside with garden views or on a plant-filled terrace. Mon-Fri 9am-4pm (last orders 3.30pm), Sat-Sun 9am-4.30pm (last orders 4pm).
A gourmet deli and bakery with freshly baked bread, scones and cakes, quiches, salads and sandwiches for a picnic in the grounds, plus Avoca grab-and-go meals to take home.

Annual season tickets give year-round access plus 10% off Avoca products in the garden shop; the Camellia ticket covers two adults and lets them bring up to three guests per visit.
