A self-guided journey through 19th-century servant tunnels, up the 5-storey Moylurg Tower for panoramic lake views, and along Ireland's first Tree Canopy Walk — a 300m timber-and-steel walkway rising 9m above the woodland floor. A high-wire forest adventure park where you climb into the treetops, swing into cargo nets, ride a BMX across a bridge, and zip down multiple ziplines. Up to 3 hours of adrenaline. Ages 7+. Pre-booking essential via zipit.ie. Operated independently from the main park.
A colourful outdoor play area for children up to age 12 with climbing structures, balancing features, and interactive play — all designed to encourage active, imaginative outdoor fun. €5 per child for an all-day pass (€3.50 each for groups of 10+). Last entry 1 hour before closing.
One-hour guided lake tours with local operators sharing stories and history of Lough Key's islands. Tours run at 1:30pm, 3pm, and 4:30pm (weather and numbers permitting). Hourly rowing boat hire also available from the harbour.
Trails for all abilities, from easy multi-access paths to strenuous loops through native woodland, past follies, bridges, and the Bog Garden. Around 8km of traffic-free cycling trails, plus the 7.9km Boyle-to-Lough-Key Cycleway along the canal. Bike hire available. The Miners Way Historical Trail passes through the park.
