Kennedy's is a family-run pet farm in Glenflesk, about 9km from Killarney on the N22, where children can cuddle, feed and admire free-roaming animals - with indoor and outdoor playgrounds so a wet day does not spoil the trip.
Alpacas, deer, pigs and piglets, horses, calves, sheep and lambs, goats and kids, donkeys, pot-bellied pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, geese and 'Prince' the peacock wander the farm and are ready to be cuddled and fed.
The all-weather facilities include outdoor playgrounds and the indoor Little Stars playcentre, so children have plenty to do when it rains.
New arrivals are a regular occurrence at Kennedy's, with piglets, chicks, kids, lambs and puppies born through spring. Visitors are asked to be gentle when stroking or holding the animals.
Bring a picnic and eat outside taking in the panoramic views around the farm. Note that dogs are not allowed, to keep the free-roaming animals safe.
