The main event: cuddle soft, playful lambs in a supervised barn. If you arrive around feeding time, staff may hand you a bottle so you can feed them yourself — a fantastic photo opportunity. Children welcome but must be supervised by an adult.
Watch highly trained Border Collies respond to whistle and voice commands as they herd sheep across the hillside. Aedán provides live commentary and a Q&A session. Demonstrations last about 45 minutes and take place outdoors with stunning sea views. Advance booking recommended.
A self-guided walking path leads you to remarkably preserved dry-stone clocháin (beehive huts) dating back over 1,000 years. Information boards explain the corbelling technique and history. These are similar to the monastic huts on Skellig Michael — a favourite with Star Wars fans. Stay on marked paths.
Stop at the 19th-century farmhouse for freshly brewed coffee or tea and homemade fruit cake. Sit outdoors and scan the water for dolphins, porpoises, and even the occasional whale. The farmhouse itself retains its traditional kitchen layout.
