Funtasia is Drogheda's big rain-or-shine leisure complex, packing 16 attractions under one roof — the three-new-slide Pirate's Cove Waterpark, bowling, laser tag, soft play, climbing and fairground rides. Everything is pay-as-you-go, so you can drop in and pick what suits without a day ticket.
Splash through more than 200 water activities, including three new slides — Kraken's Descent, Pirate Pursuit and Jolly Roger Rush — plus the Super Bowl and Boomerang slides, frame slides, splash zones and an adults-only jacuzzi. A timeslot entry system applies: book online or buy at the kiosk (€24.95, under-2s free), and once inside you can stay as long as you like. Re-entry is not allowed, and photography is banned inside.
Roll on 14 lanes with bumper rails for younger players. Book by time (€24 per 30 minutes, €42.50 per hour per lane) or per game (€8.50 each), with up to 8 players a lane. Thursday to Sunday 7-11pm it is BYOB bowling — bring your own cans and snacks, no booking needed.
The Aftermath Arena takes up to 24 players using Helios Pro phasers in 30-minute sessions (€11, ages 7 and over, no height limit). It is dark and strobe-lit with fog machines, so it is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with epilepsy, asthma or heart conditions.
A multi-storey soft play zone with slides, obstacle courses and ball cannons, plus an upstairs toddler area with soft blocks and mini slides. Prices are €8.50 per child per hour for the main area and €4.50 for toddlers; children must be 0.95m-1.5m tall for the main area.
Scale the 60ft Ultimate Skyclimb ropes course (€11), the climbing wall, twin zipline and Everest Free Fall Slide (€6.50 each), or take a combo up to €22. Minimum heights range from 1.30m for the climbing wall to 1.35m for the Skyclimb and zipline.
Play crazy golf at €8.50 a round (€2 refundable deposit for club and ball — no height limit), then hit the arcade and VR games. Fairground rides include the Ferris wheel, bumper cars, Gyro Loop, Monkey Jump and Convoy, at €2.80 to €5 per person.
Each autumn the Pumpkin Patch Festival adds the Pumpkin Express train, pumpkin picking, carving and painting, a movie and disco tent, an arts and crafts market, spooky face painting and Halloween treats. Entry is €12.50 with a pumpkin or €8.90 without (including a hot drink), and a Pumpkin Splash deal bundles it with the waterpark for €33.50.
