A Cork County Council community pool in Fermoy's Town Park, with a 25-metre five-lane pool, a kiddies splash pool and a sauna and steam room, running public swim sessions from 6.45am to 9.45pm on weekdays.
The core of the centre is a 25-metre, five-lane indoor pool, open for public sessions from early morning right through to a late evening slot on weekdays. Sessions run on a rolling fortnightly timetable, so check the day's slots before you travel.
A separate small splash pool sits alongside the main pool, and the published timetable includes short blocks when the small pool is in private use and only the main pool, sauna and steam room are available.
The sauna and steam room are open during all advertised public sessions, for over-18s during those sessions. Some sessions have slight alterations to sauna and steam access, highlighted on the timetable.
Swimming lessons run for tiny tots aged 3 and 4 through Splash and Duckling classes, while baby and toddler courses are booked in four-week blocks for around EUR 40, with limited places sold first come, first served.
Winter Water Safety Ireland courses run on Tuesday nights from 7pm to 9pm, covering Safety Levels 2-4, Endurance Level 2 and Rescue Levels 1-3, at around EUR 100 for the course. Pre-registration is essential.
The centre takes school, club and team bookings, hosts children's birthday parties, and sells gift vouchers. Family tickets are available on enquiry at reception.
