Ireland's largest purpose-built waterbus runs a 75-minute family cruise around Donegal Bay's islands, with a 200-strong seal colony, live music on the return leg and an on-board bar.
The waterbus (140 passengers) sails from Donegal Town pier, 500m from the Diamond, around the seven Green Islands with live commentary on the bay's history, geography and wildlife. Sit in the air-conditioned lounge or on the open-top deck.
Get close to a natural colony of roughly 200 harbour and Atlantic grey seals on Seal Island, which is only reachable by boat. Sightings are tide-dependent and can't be guaranteed on every trip.
The homeward journey features a sing-along cabaret show with a small dance floor, so families and groups can 'waltz on the water' as the boat heads back to town.
The commentary covers Donegal Castle's O'Donnell chiefs, the Old Abbey where the Annals of the Four Masters were written, the Famine-era Coffin Ship embarkation point, a White Star Line booking office, Donegal Golf Club, oyster farms and Meenadreen wind farm.
A fully stocked bar serves beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks, plus tea, coffee, biscuits, crisps and ice cream. Outside food and drink are not allowed on board.
