Ireland's original ice skating trail winds through an Alpine winter wonderland of pine trees, festive lights, and real ice — back in Cork City at a new home on Centre Park Road.
The headline attraction: a real-ice trail full of twists, turns and straights set among Alpine-themed pine trees and twinkling lights. Experienced skaters head straight for the trail; beginners can find their feet on a separate practice rink first. Each session lasts 50 minutes — arrive 20 minutes early.
Children under 1.2 metres can use the popular penguin skate aids on the practice rink. Twin-blade skates are available for the youngest skaters (recommended age 3+). Pre-book skate aids online — they sell out fast.
Two dedicated autism-friendly sessions run this season: 2 December and 7 January, both at 3:50pm. Quieter environment with reduced sensory input. The trail is fully wheelchair accessible for both manual and powered chairs.
Every Wednesday, students can skate at a reduced rate on all public sessions. Cannot be booked online — bring valid student ID and purchase at the box office on the day.
Groups of 15+ skaters pay €18 per person. Schools, clubs, corporate groups, and parties are all catered for — book through the dedicated group pages on the website.
