A small, zoo-licensed animal park just outside Newcastle West, home to meerkats, reptiles, owls and farm animals rescued mostly from the exotic pet trade. It's a compact, family-run spot where the money goes straight back into the animals.
For its size the park packs in a big variety: meerkats, marmosets, owls, macaws, emu, a peacock, tortoises, and domestic animals like goats, donkeys, guinea pigs and pigs. The animals are largely ex-pets taken in from the exotic pet trade.
A programme of free keeper sessions runs through the day, from the 11.20am meerkat feed and 12.15pm parrot chat to the 3.30pm owl talk. Highlights include small animal petting at 1pm and reptile and bug handling at 2.45pm, with light interaction where appropriate.

Kids can burn off energy at the indoor play areas Jungle Heights and Tiny Tots, or outside at the Fitz's Farm play area and Farmer Luke's Tractor School, alongside the animal enclosures.
The reptile house holds snakes, tortoises, lizards and insects such as tarantulas and stick insects. The afternoon handling session lets visitors get close to some of the residents while a keeper answers questions.
The on-site cafe is a popular resting stop mid-visit, serving coffee, snacks and a range of lunchtime meals with vegan and gluten-free options.
The park takes bookings for birthday parties, school trips and private group visits during term time, all at different rates to general admission.
