A family-run social farm in west Limerick where visitors meet puppies, alpacas and a robotic milking parlour, and where everything is designed to be accessible to all ages and abilities.
Alpacas Biddy & Miley, Rua the Highland cow, calves, African pygmy goats, donkeys, Kune Kune pigs, peacocks, hens and guinea pigs all live here, and feeding and handling are encouraged. Handwashing stations are placed around the farm for use before and after you meet them.
Jenny's Puppy Pad and Nala's Nest are the favourite stops on the farm tour, where visitors cuddle puppies and British Shorthair kittens. Puppy play therapy is listed among the farm's wellbeing activities.
Cows walk themselves to the milking parlour through the day to use the robotic milking system, and Frank the robotic cleaner keeps the cubicle sheds tidy next door. An automatic calf feeder is also on view.
The farm packs in a Lego room, sensory room, Dino room, playground, trampoline, indoor sand area, water play zone, mud kitchen and a barrel train ride. Games include giant Jenga, connect four and hook a duck.
Every Saturday, 10am to 1pm, children join the daily farm routine: feeding animals, collecting eggs, helping on the land and playing farm games. It costs €35 per session and is run in small groups; book by phone or WhatsApp.
Entry tickets include complimentary tea, coffee, Mi Wadi and biscuits, and there is seating around the farm for admiring the views. You are welcome to bring a picnic to eat in the Courtyard or the Cosy Kitchen.
Bilingual outdoor wildlife signs explain native flowers, insects, trees and mammals, with over 2,000 saplings, wildflower planting for pollinators, bug hotels and bird boxes along the way. Rainwater harvesting and upcycled planters are part of the tour.
Kids camps run at Easter, in summer and at Halloween for ages 4-12, and supervised birthday parties cost €195 for up to 10 children or €245 for 10-20. School and group tours cover four zones, from the polytunnel and water play to the robotic milking parlour.
