A family-run working tweed mill and certified Donegal Tweed Visitor Centre on Main Street, Ardara, where master weavers still make handwoven tweed on century-old looms.
Master weavers work century-old looms in the spacious factory, which occupies The Mart, the historic marketplace where Donegal tweed was born. The tweed is made from 100% Irish lambswool in colours inspired by Donegal's hills and Atlantic coast.
The workshop employs three full-time weavers and three apprentices. Staff happily explain the craft, and the family's story goes back five generations of hand weavers to founder Denis Mulhern in 1984.
