A dramatic roadside waterfall on Donegal's wild Atlantic coast — park a few feet from the cascade, feel the spray, and carry on to Maghera Beach or Slieve League. No hike, no fuss, just nature at full volume after a good rainfall.

Just 2–5 minutes further along the same road, this long sandy strand is backed by some 20 sea caves — accessible only at low tide. Watch the tide times carefully; it's possible to get cut off by the incoming water. The beach is usually quiet and has a rugged, windswept feel.
A 20–25 minute drive from the waterfall, this steep, winding mountain road (the 'Glen of the Swans') snakes through the hills between Ardara and Glencolmcille. One of the most spectacular drives in Ireland — take it slowly and watch for cyclists and walkers.
About 40–45 minutes from the waterfall, these are among Europe's highest sea cliffs, dropping nearly 600m to the Atlantic. Many visitors pair Assaranca as a scenic pit stop en route to Slieve League. The main car park and viewing platform offer staggering coastal panoramas.
The heritage town of Ardara is a 10–15 minute drive back east. Famous for handwoven Donegal tweed, it has a cluster of good pubs and cafés — the nearest place for a meal, a coffee, or toilets before or after your waterfall stop.
