About
A lakeside nature park near Knockbridge in County Louth, with woodland walkways, a wildlife-rich pond, a children's playground and its own coffee dock. The ponds and paths are the work of the mid-Louth community project that opened the site to the public in 1996.
Things to Do
Walk the nature trail
A loop around the park is lined with 18 decorative interpretative boards explaining the trees, plants and wildlife you pass, plus information signs and lookout points.
Watch the wildlife pond
The lake averages about 2 m deep (max 3.25 m) and draws swans, ducks and many other visitors through the year; the park holds at least 57 species of tree and shrub and more than 47 species of bird.
Bring the children to the playground
A children's play area with equipment for social, play and motor skills; it was upgraded and officially reopened in 2019.
Fish the carp pond
The pond is stocked with coarse fish and run as a carp fishery. Day tickets are sold at the Coffee Dock.
Coffee Dock
A relaxed lakeside coffee dock with seating for up to 50 people, and the place to buy fishing day tickets.
Agnes Burns Cottage
A stone cottage standing right beside the amenity park.

- Parking: Car parking on site, including a free car park (Google also records paid car parking and free/paid street parking); debit cards accepted.
- Food: The on-site Coffee Dock seats up to 50 people and sells fishing day tickets. The conference centre can provide catering for booked events.
