Meet the farm animals
Horses, donkeys, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, sika deer and alpacas all live on the farm, and the setting is deliberately hands-on so children can get close to them. Feed and pet the animals as you wander between the paddocks.

About
Glenroe Farm is a working family farm on the North Wicklow coast, home to friendly farm animals, playgrounds, a fairy-garden nature walk and Ireland's first maize maze — plus the 400-year-old thatched cottage made famous by RTE's Glenroe.
Things to Do
Outdoor playground
A large, well-equipped outdoor playground sits with views of the Sugarloaf, giving children a break between animal visits. Seating around it makes it easy for adults to keep watch.
Undercover playground
For wet Wicklow days there is an indoor play area with a sandpit, an obstacle course and games. It is the fallback plan when the weather turns.
Nature walk and fairy garden
A signed walk leads from the open farm down towards the Wicklow coastline, passing a sensory garden and a fairy garden. It is the quiet, calm part of a visit.
Pig Out! maize maze
Ireland's first maize maze runs seasonally from late July to the end of October; the mission is to find ten escaped pigs. It is a separately seasonal attraction rather than a year-round one.
Dinny's Cottage
The 400-year-old thatched cottage in the courtyard is recognisable as Dinny's home from RTE's Glenroe, which was filmed on the farm from 1983 to 2001. It now offers an insight into the farm's heritage.
Pets' Corner
The small furries live here: rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils and a chinchilla, plus a fowl section with ducks, chickens, geese, turkeys, peafowl and aviary birds. It is the most popular stop for younger visitors.
Coffee shop and picnics
A coffee shop serves homebaking, and there are picnic areas indoors and out. Bring a picnic if you prefer — school groups and parties use the indoor picnic room.

- Food: Coffee shop serving homebaking; picnic areas indoors and out. Birthday parties are self-catered, so bring your own food.
