A family-run pet farm just outside Athlone where kids can hand-feed lambs, alpacas and emus, then burn off energy on ziplines, fairy trails and indoor soft play — all for a flat €10 a head.
Get hands-on with a huge variety of animals — from lambs, donkeys and alpacas to monkeys, meerkats, wallabies and emus. Every child receives a bag of feed on arrival so they can feed the friendly farmyard crew. Staff are on hand for cuddly animal-holding sessions with chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs.
Outdoor play includes a zipline, double obstacle course, slides, swings, seesaws and a football area. For wet days there's an indoor soft-play zone for smaller kids, plus a sand barn. The double-sided obstacle course means siblings can race each other.
A magical woodland walk dotted with fairy doors, toadstools and woven willow huts. The new hobbit village at the trail entrance has hobbit houses, a swing and a tightrope. The nature walk follows an old mass path with a natural tree tunnel — less than half a mile and manageable for all ages.
