A 1.2km woodland trail that doubles as one of Ireland's most popular fairy trails. Spot fairy doors and castles along the way, plus characters from the Gruffalo story — a mouse, fox, snake and more. Originally used by Lady Frances herself for exercise and painting inspiration.
Also 1.2km, this walk is home to trolls, bears, witches, wizards and a 20ft dragon called Drayco. Named after the estate's former gardener, it's designed to spark children's imaginations with carved wooden creatures around every bend.
Designed by Daniel Robertson between 1835 and 1838, the terrace gardens, radiating parterre, arboretum and walled garden have been lovingly restored to the original 1830s plans. The walled garden, reopened in 2022, is a butterfly haven in summer.
A state-of-the-art playground with swings, slides, climbing frames and ropes, suitable for ages 12 and under. The picnic area sits right next to it — bring your own food or grab takeaway coffee and treats from Mrs Stone's Café.
