The only fully licensed zoo in southeast Ireland — a 14-acre family-run wildlife park where rescued exotic animals, hands-on encounters, and all-weather fun come together in the Wexford countryside.

Things to Do

Meet 200+ Rescue Animals

Over 40 species call Secret Valley home, many rescued from the pet trade or laboratory backgrounds. Highlights include capybaras Guava & Mango, meerkats, ring-tailed lemurs, capuchin monkeys, rhesus macaques, Asian short-clawed otters, and a resident African spurred tortoise named Toby who roams freely. A recent arrival — Zeus the rescue serval cat — joined in early 2026. Farm favourites like pygmy goats, llamas, alpacas, donkeys and Shetland ponies round out the collection.

Daily Activities Included with Admission

Your ticket covers a packed schedule: bottle-feed baby goats (spring/summer), hand-feed llamas and alpacas, hold small animals at handling sessions, join keeper talks, and follow adventure scavenger hunts around the park. Reptile and creepy-crawly sessions let brave visitors handle lizards and cockroaches.

Premium Animal Experiences

Book ahead for unforgettable close encounters: the 40-minute Capybara Experience (ages 8+), the Meerkat & Porcupine Experience (ages 8+, 40 min), or the 90-minute Behind-the-Scenes VIP Guided Tour (ages 6+). Aspiring zookeepers can try the Junior Keeper (ages 9–15, 4 hours), Little Helper (ages 5–9, 2.5 hours), or Senior Keeper Experience (ages 16+, 6 hours). All experiences include park admission and must be pre-booked online.

Indoor & Outdoor Play

Kids can burn off energy on the indoor bouncy castle and obstacle course (open rain or shine), a large outdoor playground, and a tractor pedal park. The quad train offers a fun tour of the park for a €2 supplement per person. There's also crazy golf and a dinosaur fossil dig.

The Hungry Tortoise Café

Open daily from 9am, this on-site café serves all-day breakfasts, hot lunches, barista McCabe's coffee, sweet treats, and a dedicated kids' menu. Weekend dinner specials and live music on selected summer weekends. Café access does not require park admission — locals are welcome too. Picnic benches are scattered throughout for those bringing their own food.

Seasonal Events

Halloween brings the Giant Corn Maze, while Christmas features The Grinch experience. Birthday party packages with café catering are available year-round. The park also runs summer camps and school tour programmes.
