About

A family-run petting farm in the East Cork countryside with an astonishing range of activities — from real JCB diggers and a barrel train through the woods to homemade ice cream and an antique museum, you can easily fill a full day here.

Things to Do

Animal Petting at Jolly Barn

The heart of the farm. Hold a snake, pet rabbits, mice and guinea pigs, and feed the goats Rosie and Molly. Petting sessions run at various times throughout the day — scan the Farming Menu on arrival for the schedule. Outdoor paddocks are home to alpacas, donkeys, horses, pigs, marmoset monkeys and even a camel.

Ice Cream & Chocolate Factory

The farm makes its own ice cream using milk from its own cows. The chocolate factory produces everything from filled chocolates to figurines and lollipops. Chocolate workshops and party packages are available. Don't leave without a cone.

Outdoor Adventure Zone

Beyond the animals: a zipline, mystery maze, crazy golf (€3), go-karting, pig racing, an adventure trail, a big drop slide, a climbing frame, den building, and multiple playgrounds including the Cow Playground. The recommended route on the map ties it all together.

Barrel Train Ride

A quad-drawn barrel train takes you on a bumpy ride through the forest, past animal sculptures and through a tunnel. Each family gets one complimentary ticket on entry — it's often called the highlight of the farm.

Digger Park

Kids (and adults) operate real JCB and Kubota mini diggers — scoop stones, knock down bowling pins, or dig through sand and water. Five diggers available plus a large sandpit with play diggers alongside. Costs €3 per go.

Indoor Play Barn

A large indoor play barn lets kids burn off extra energy whatever the weather, while adults relax with a coffee. There's also a separate soft ball-pit area for toddlers who aren't quite ready for the main climbing frame.

Nan's Nook Museum

A nostalgia-filled museum displaying an 18th-century thatched cottage, a Victorian schoolroom, a dairy, a laundry, a gypsy wagon, and an old-style shop. A genuine trip back in time spread across several rooms.
