Sheepdog demonstration

Watch Joe Joyce's Border Collies work Connemara Blackface sheep across the hillside in a show lasting about an hour. Scheduled shows run at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:30 Monday to Saturday, and no booking is needed — just arrive slightly before the start.

Meet the farm animals

The farm visit includes the hill sheep and rams, sheep-shearing demonstrations, and a stop to meet Seamie and Síle, the resident donkeys.

Border Collie puppies

When a litter is available, visitors can meet the Border Collie pups and hear about the farm's generations of working dogs.

Joe, a third-generation hill sheep farmer, explains how dogs and farmer work together on the family farm, nestled between the Maumturk and Partry mountains, and answers questions as part of the visit.

Hours: Open 1 March to 18 October. Sheepdog demonstrations at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:30, Monday to Saturday; no booking needed. After 18 October, demonstrations are by prior arrangement only.

Parking: Free on-site parking, including accessible spaces.
