Clamphole Waterfall
The centrepiece is the three-tiered Clamphole Waterfall, reached on a riverside path from the car park. It is at its most dramatic after rain, when the River Barrow pours over the old red sandstone ledges.

A free forest trailhead in the Slieve Bloom Mountains where four way-marked walks set off along the River Barrow to a three-tiered waterfall.
Things to Do
Flat Rock family loop
The shortest way-marked trail (3km, about 1 hour, moderate) follows the river to the waterfall and back. It is buggy-friendly as far as Flat Rock, making it the best option for families and small children.
Waterfall Loop
The classic blue-arrow loop (7km, about 2 hours, moderate) climbs past the waterfall, crosses a bog-bridge boardwalk and returns along the forest road. Underfoot is rocky and can be mucky in places, so wear boots.
Old Mill Loop and Eco Walk
For a full day, the strenuous Old Mill Loop (12km, 3.5 hours) reaches the ruins of an old stone mill, while the 10km Eco Walk is an educational trail with ten interpretation stops developed with local communities.
Picnic by the River Barrow
A picnic site sits at the trailhead beside the river, with a café truck on hand for coffee and baked goods. Longer routes continue up the valley past old homesteads towards the Ridge of Capard nature reserve.

- Admission: Free — no admission charge
- Parking: Free car park of roughly 95 spaces (35 original plus 60 added in 2023). It fills early on sunny weekends, and the approach road is narrow, so drive with care and park considerately.
- Food: The Falls at Glenbarrow, a café truck at the car park, serves barista coffee, teas and baked goods with outdoor seating; card payments accepted. Clonaslee (7km) and Rosenallis (5km) have further services.
